In May I transformed my Kangoo van into a campervan. I constructed a queen-size bed in the back of the van with some storage space underneath. For my own comfort I used a slatted bed base instead of a wooden plate. This is also better for the ventilation of the mattress.
The base of the bed is divided into two spaces by a frame. The frame increases the support of the bed. It creates also more structure in your storage space. There is more than enough space for clothes, camping gear, food and even some extra supplies.
I attached some wooden panels at both sides of the mattress. The panels created some useful space for small things you need often. To create some privacy and keep the mosquitos out, I made some customised curtains and mosquito nets.
I would like to thank my father and my friend, Liesje, for their help during this project.
